UN SOGGIORNO ECOSOSTENIBILE

Le crescenti problematiche ambientali che stiamo attraversando in questi anni ci hanno portato ad osservare una particolare attenzione all'ecosostenibilità della nostra attività ricettiva. Abbiamo così deciso di impegnarci, per quanto possibile, a ridurre al minimo l'impatto ambientale del vostro soggiorno in Cecily's House.

Per poter raggiungere tale obiettivo, abbiamo adottato una serie di piccole accortezze:

• utilizzare solamente detergenti e prodotti per la pulizia ecologici, con tensioattivi di origine vegetale e facilmente biodegradabili;

• acquistare mobili, attrezzature e materiali di consumo (es. carta igienica, carta assorbente, tovaglioli usa e getta) certificati PEFC o FSC, marchi che garantiscono la sostenibilità ambientale nell'utilizzo delle materie prime;

• acquistare prodotti con imballi e confezioni altamente riciclabili, cercando di ridurre al minimo il residuo secco non differenziabile;

• fornire prodotti alimentari del commercio equo e solidale e/o di origine biologica;

• ridurre gli sprechi di acqua installando dispositivi che riducano il flusso di acqua in uscita dai rubinetti;

• compensare la produzione di CO2 derivante dalla nostra attività ricettiva impegnando parte del ricavato nel sostenere progetti di riforestazione e piantumazione alberi.

AN ECO-SUSTAINABLE STAY

The growing environmental problems that we have been experiencing in recent years have led us to pay particular attention to the eco-sustainability of our hospitality business. We have therefore decided to commit ourselves, as far as possible, to minimizing the environmental impact of your stay at Cecily’s House.

In order to achieve this goal, we have adopted a series of small precautions:

• use only ecological detergents and cleaning products, with surfactants of vegetable origin and easily biodegradable;

• purchase PEFC or FSC certified furniture, equipment and consumables (e.g. toilet paper, absorbent paper, disposable napkins), brands that guarantee environmental sustainability in the use of raw materials;

• purchase products with highly recyclable packaging and wrapping, trying to minimize the non-differentiable dry residue;

• supply fair trade and/or organic food products;

• reduce water waste by installing devices that reduce the flow of water leaving the taps;

• offset the production of CO2 deriving from our hospitality business by committing part of the proceeds to supporting reforestation and tree planting projects.
